Do dogs know much more than we do?
April 30, 2007Sir Uhm-a-lot: I feel damn insecure.
Miss Snotty: Because?
Sir Uhm-a-lot: Well, things. I sort of woke up today and realized that I've been such all along.
Is time really gold?
April 18, 2007Sir Uhm-a-lot: I hate rushing. Just this afternoon I realized what I thought was due this Friday was due tomorrow. Thus, I'm rushing both a resumé and my schedule, which has been terribly ruined by the realization. Then again, time was never on our side…
Miss Snotty: That's cliché dude. Think up something creative like "time is a heebie-jeebie that never goes away" or "time is like a bad hickey you worry about the next morning" or "time sucks big time I want to throw it away". Something like that.
Sir Uhm-a-lot: Well, I never really had the time to read novels, thus I never have any of those creative slogans that only you can think of. Or, you merely decide to while your time sleeping to some fantasy land while I keep my feet firmly planted on the ground doing things that actually lead to better chances for one to cheat another.
Why does a relationship look so effortless?
April 17, 2007Sir Uhm-a-lot: Snotty dearie, you ever had the feeling someone likes you from afar?
Miss Snotty: Um, yeah, creepy ugly feeling if you ask me.
Sir Uhm-a-lot: It actually feels pervertic, somewhat. Without resorting to talking about personal stuff, I am guilty.
Why are beginnings so clichéd?
April 13, 2007Sir Uhm-a-lot: Really, why do they have to be? If you've been into those sentimentally shitty quotes, then probably you've read something like "when a door closes, a window opens" or "everyday is a new beginning" or "maaaaybe I'll try agaaaain" - okay, that is one of my favorite songs, so back off. But why the fuss? You have to go through all the routines and you hate yourself for being so excited about starting anew.
Miss Snotty: Starting new. Right. Beginnings? What can I say about beginnings? There are billions of beginnings everyday. To some eyes they are endings. But I do believe that it is all just a matter of perspective - it could be the beginning of an end, or the end of a beginning.
Sir Uhm-a-lot: Actually a billion beginnings could mean we are never satisfied with anything. We just ditch something we're in the middle of and want to start again. Can't we finish something and just improve on it when we're done?
